Haven't tried any rotoscoping yet so I can't comment on that.
I've used a variety of disks but the standard IDE I used was a HP 240Mb unit
and managed a transfer rate of 1200K/sec. Not good enough for Broadcast quality
but good enough for most others. You should get better results with a SCSI or
the newer Fast-IDE standard. I tried a Maxtor 535Mb SCSI but ony got 800K/sec.
Probably because I was only using a 16 bit Adaptec card rather than 32 bit.
As for a dealer, where are you ?
