Wrote this message yesterday but posted it in the wrong section. Thank You to all who replied, some really great ideas. My partner and I are considering writing a file/image/network management system for 3DS. Our original idea was to have this system be a front end application for 3ds that would allow you to do the following. 1. copy, delete, move groups or individual files. 2. archive prj, 3ds and maps 3. create, delete directorys 4. Image Conversion 5. Batch conversion 6. geometry conversion 7. Network rendering reports 8. Text descriptions of all 3ds and prj files We realize that many of these features already exist in 3DS, but think it would be nice to have a comprehensive interface where all of these things can be done. So, what do you think? should it be IPAS, Windows or dos? What are we leaving out that you all want? I hope that everyone will voice an opinion on what they would like because this is the only place that we are going to ask for input. Thank you, Scott Polk Polk Graphics, Dallas Tx David McCutchen
