Pro's and cons both ways, I think it would be easier to take off both layers
without having to wory about pulling the lower layer off. You will have more
waste, obviously, but you will have a nice flat surface to side on.
There are many who would chastise you for using vinyl, I'm not one of them. I
would encourage you to pull off both layers and make whatever improvement in
the walls you choose. I think you will be happier in the long run.

13: just the top layer, without accidentally pulling off
14: the bottom layer. And that removing at least one
15: of the layers of swood siding is preferably to
16: removing not removing the existing siding… so you think we
17: should just remove both layers.
