Why do I make so bold? It is the "information highway" thing. The old electrical type cable cannot deliver the services that the cable system MUST deliver and that includes two way communications of several types. It also includes many more channels (500 is often mentioned). My area is served by a company that will put in optical on the street but the hookup will remain electrical for a while. But not to me since I don't have cable.
