Many people need mega-pixel color displays. 800×600 doesn't cut it, certainly not while flickering. They need cheap monitors (SVGA), not overpriced obsolete 14" multiscans. On the Amiga, getting 1024×800 in color costs nearly as much as buying a new PC! Like I said, I'm not a video guy. I said that PC graphics are lousy for video stuff. Or flashy graphics stuff. But the Amiga is lousy for general purpose display — it is good primarily for video and flashy graphics.
