If you are using a video card, then set the video emulation to none.
With a video card you don't want the emulator running in any video mode. When
you run pcwindow you will get an open window, but nothing in it. However, when
you switch the monitor to the video card you should get the pc video. The
problem with color settings not being saved has been a known problem with Janus
2.1.
