I just received my Emplant Deluxe board for my A4000. I was told to obtain a ROM image one could either buy and temporarily install a set of 256K MAC II ROMs or dump the ROM image directly from an existing MAC they had. I planned to do the latter. I've been through the documentation and found but a scarce reference in one sentence to creating a ROM IMAGE "..on a real Macintosh using the ROM_INFO utility." There is a file that came on the Emplant disk called ROMINFO but it is not executable on my Amiga. When I copied it to an MS-DOS disk to try to run it on the MAC, the MAC saw it as a text file because it has no resource fork. AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE OR DO YOU NEED TO BUY THE 256K CHIPS AFTER ALL? Has anyone tried this?
