I didn't say anything about a threat to my business! There is nothing
wrong with getting the best prices you can. (I do it myself!)
I just strongly believe that this is not the place for a mail order
shopping discussion. Following the later posts, I agree with those
who will ask to know about getting good prices and leaving it on
private e-mail.
This is the Autodesk Software forum, mainly for tips, tricks, and
hardware and software reviews and discussions. I don't want to waste
my time reading a commercial for "Joe's black market memory prices".
The dealers and manufacturers here have a professional agreement to
only post manufacturer's list prices on the forum. I strongly
believe that the users should adhere to the same guidelines. If you
want a discount price, call or post e-mail requesting info. Many,
including myself, would be happy to help in that manner.
Yes, we offer many discounts and full system prices to our clients, as
do most dealers. But you will never see them posted here.
All the dealers here (as well as others) provide many hours of advice
for no charge whatsoever, and don't ask anything in return, except
perhaps a bit of respect. I want to be able to keep telling my
clients about the great information available here, and encourage
them to go online.
If you want a mail order price, GO MALL! <g>
My thrust was a problem only with the method and place, not the concept!
