We are using the files for Linotronic output, essentially color seperations. I
have found that the RGB files can be converted to their CMYK counterparts using
Corel PhotoPaint 5.0, however they loose "something" in the translation.
To get around the problem, We have used PhotoPaint to 'post process' the file
to get some of the "something" back. It seems that the difference has to do
with going from a 24 bit (rgb) file to a 32 bit (cmyk) file, just as when you
try to take a small image and make it larger you often loose "something".
Going the other way you dont have the problem.
