Hi, I recently acquired the full-time use of a Panasonic Optical Disk Recorder Model TQ-3031F (Component/ S-video/ Composite Video In/Out, 2 audio tracks, RS-232, Genlock, etc.). The unit appears to perform single-frame recording to a 12" read/write optical disk. Panasonic Industrial division here in Canada says the unit is worth about $12,000 US new (TQ-3035F). I'm currently waiting to get an owners manual etc. for the unit to find out how to fully operate it. It's about 4-5 years old, but barely used. My question is, can this thing be easily used for single-frame animation recording from 3DS/AniPro (I have both)? If so, has anyone here used same and with what kind of results?
