It's a common, popular "what if" theme, usually on the tips of the tongue of fusion (cold or hot 🙂 advocates. It's true, as a "what if", I think… there's a lot of problems that are solved by cheap energy. I've never heard of them performing an analysis of how much excess heat would be radiated by these processes, if everyone had a fusion-powered car-plane, a fusion water/electricity/hydrogen reactor in every neighborhood, and massive fusion plants for industry. There's no free lunch.
