If you don't need to veiw them inside 3d-studio get a small shareware program called thumbs! you can do all your image management tasks with it including jpeg batch compression and instead of writing a bunch small files all over your drive it puts them in one file and keeps track of all the images (thumbnails) on CD without the CD installed. I even have a image directory of my #1 computer on my #2 puter. It's probably in windows shareware.
