John, Sorry I took so long to respond… The "real" issues of Planet Studio WILL be more susbtantive than the sample SIGGRAPH copy. For one thing, they'll have twice the number of pages (and still no advertising). We realize that it's quite a bit more expensive than 3D Artist, but we're focusing ONLY on Autodesk software, which no other publication does (other than user group newsletters). We intend to provide highly useful tips and techniques–and tutorials like you mentioned–that you won't be able to find elsewhere. I have not uploaded anything besides a press release announcing the newsletter, but maybe I'll send up the proposed contents for issue 2 once I get everything nailed down.
