When I want to cool my house I use an air conditioner that "pumps" the heat to somewhere else. Why can't we pump into into rocks and then throw away the rocks (into space)? I beleive an air conditioner would cool a house even if the compressor were physically in the house. All that's important that the heat radiator not be.
