I just ran into the same problem with my new Acer Pentium. 3DS worked fine the
first day, but as I put in some new stuff it stopped with the same error you
got. Close reading of the docs say that you shouldn't use the NOEMS setting in
EMM386, which I've used for the last couple years. I made myself a 3DS setup
(what a pain) and everything is fine again.
