Paul-
Well, one thing that really ticks me off is that all trims done to a scene are
destructive to that scene, even though the footage doesn't get touched. I.e.
you can't set in/out points that will be used everywhere including the
timeline. So basically, all editing has to be done *away* from the timeline.
This is something I'd like to correct, at least by automating the background
process of going and making another copy of the scene, and presenting myself
with a requester that lets me set new in/out points, and then handling timeline
adjustments.
One thing that I can't do, though, is to provide the ability to turn on and off
different tracks on the timeline. This would provide great capabilities,
though, such as the ability to set up several different versions of a scene (a
real scene, that is) (and in conjunction with the in/out capability) and try
first one, then another.
One of these days, whether or not I start writing the extra tools, I'll
definitely write up all my gripes/suggestions and fax them to NoahJi's.
