input problem

I did all that with the prefs setting, deleting and re-entering as per an
article in Amiga World. I did all the pref settings. I also played withthe
repeat delay and when set to 1 simulates my problem. It's a sometime after I
am up and running for a while it forgets the input prefs settings. If I run
input prefs I no longer get the double characters but I don't know if the
problem will come back during the same session. Oh well
