>I have been trying to make .gifs rendered in 3DS ver 3 with transparent
backgrounds for the WWW. Since the background on WWW is not 0,0,0 but I have
been told it is 191,191,191.<
There is no set background color for web browsers. Browsers like Netscape and
Mosaic can have any color as the background.

Get a program called GIF Construction Set. It allows you to pick the
transparent color from your image with an eye-dropper tool.
