Mark, FWIW, I've had my PAR and a Micropolis 2217 since January and haven't had
any problems with it. I took a suggestion from Martin Foster and leave my case
open with a 9 inch fan blowing on the drive. The thing runs at near ambient
temp. and the fan also keeps the rest of the system nice and cool. THe only
problem now is dust. I just blow my entire system out every 3 or 4 months and
it's happy as can be.
