Most Win 95 programs should work with NT as long as they do not access hardware directly. Tape backups, scanners, digitizers, etc., all need special drivers to operate with NT. However, there may be apps that require Win 95 components that are not avaliable in NT. If you are interested in 3DS however, you will have to go with NT, as MAX will not run in Win 95. Anyway, I run both systems, and NT is more powerful and also faster then Win 95. If you have a PCI system with a Pentium, NT will fly. For example, AutoCAD 13 loads in eleven seconds in Win 95, but loads in THREE seconds in NT.
