> Another suggestion would be to install WinNT 3.5x as a dual boot just to get it under your bel PMJI here, but I have a question about NT I hope some expert here can answer. Because I'm going to run MAX, I have to go NT, but I have one very specific piece of hardware (my FAST Video Machine board) that I can almost promise will not work under NT (indeed, it wouldn't work under WFW, which is why I didn't upgrade to that). Now, only when I actually do video editing do I need to worry about the FAST, but if I can't run NT at all on the machine due to the hardware (I've heard that in some cases it refuses to even install depending upon hardware) that's a big problem. Assuming I can get NT running, is it possible to dual boot so that I can run Win 3.1 for my FAST board? Is it possible to remove offending hardware, install NT, and then put that hardware back? And if NT won't recognize my FAST board, does this make dual booting moot (say that three times very fast)? In other words, if NT itself can't recognize the hardware, would booting into Windows make any difference? I realize that these may be questions that can't be answered by anyone, unless I experiment empirically. But it would be nice to have some opinions before I start my quest.
