Correct, but I would recommend not creating an NTFS partition until all is working smoothly and you don't need to access through DOS. For example, you have a C: drive as DOS and D: as NTFS. The D: drive crashes. Well, you can't restore NT on NTFS without having NT running! If you kept it DOS, you could boot off a floppy or whatever and restore from a DOS tape.
