I am looking for a solution to my plotting output resolution problems. I have Windows NT (3.5) with Adobe Photoshop Ver. 3.0 for a Platform/Graphic output. I also have 3DStudio Ver. 4.0 (DOS). I can render out a Targa file with my 'X' set @ 6000 and 'Y' set @ 6000, keeping in mind that I am in DOS. From here I must Reboot my computer to invoke Windows NT/my network, and go into Photoshop to open this Targa file. Prior to opening this file, I set my file format to RGB. Opening the Targa file is not a problem, in fact, it looks GREAT!!!, but this is where the problem begins… I print it out to my HP Designjet 650C (w/the 'B' hardware upgrade) and it has a resolution conversion problem. Shadows that should be light black are cyan, browns are red, etc.. Please tell me that there is somebody out there that has ran into this problem and has beaten it. Must I always work in DOS to achieve the resolution 3DStudio is more than capable of outputting? I am looking forward to hearing from someone soon.
