I've recently upgraded an old box with a new Super Micro P55CM motherboard. (Pentium 133 Mhz.) 32meg RAM, Diam. Stealth 64 VRAM 4meg. I'm going nuts with this thing. I can't get 3ds R3 to talk reliably to either hard drives when I'm playing with a large model. I've stripped it down to nothing and it still crashes…. Config.sys c:\mouse1\mouse.exe prompt path Autoexec.bat buffers=50,0 files=100 lastdrive=z cfig386 -vdisk -minreal 4096 -maxreal 40000 -nur -intmap 8 -lfu -vscan 4000 When I load a large model (objects=580,faces=215,000,vert=112,000) and try to render, it crashes about the time it would swap to disk. Also if I save the file a bunch of times it will usually crash, and sometimes it will crash when I read it in. Small models (32k faces don't have this problem). I don't know what to try next. This has been going on for 4 days! This model used to render and swap fine with my old 486 board. The other difference is this EIDE controller is built into the mboard. Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance as they say, Steve
