>> Now I cannot run Autodesk's Animator Studio, Adobe Premiere or Elastic Reality without a fatal hang (no warning or GPF, just frozen screen). I suspected since all those apps employ the media Player, this might be the problem. When I run the Media Player from windows, I get the same result – frozen screen. When I switch over to my backed up version of windows, the problem is gone. What's going on? << not knowing everything that has been installed, it's hard to pinpoint exactly which diles are causing the problem. BUT, when something like this happens, i usually contact the folks of the program being installed. have you contacted the folks at Netscape to ask if they've run into this before? (if after installing what they require, other programs go haywire). -dave
