Well, time to say something from far-behind-the-moon germany: I`m using VARY.SXP very often and I use Elastic Realitys Transjammer to make transitions and fades. I also have Python but don`t use it very often (because the effect is not needed very often in my kind of jobs). I know that there are million other ways to do exactly the same but using VARY.SXP is the most comfortable way >I< want to go! But I don`t want to stay in the boring details. I think we don`t need 500 IPAS routines where every IPAS does only one singel and small effect. Take a look at FLAME and VAPOR (I love this IPAS)! And look at BUBBLE, FLOCK, MAGIC, DUST and so much more particle based IPAS. Why don`t we have one killer IPAS application wich does everything with particles you can imagine? Fire, wind, dust, water, glow/shimmering effects. An other example are the many image processing IPAS which help you to change the contrast, brightness, color, saturation and so on, of an image. Why isn`t there a killer IPAS wich makes all of this and includes all the tens of Schreibers filter IPAS? I think Digimations LenzFX or Inferno is a good example for such an IPAS. You can make all glow effects you can imagine with this single IPAS. So I hope I don`t have to buy 300 IPAS (and learn how they work, look for updates and 300 possible alternatives) but only 10 in the future. Until then I have to buy a new IPAS for every new effect I have to produce. But in the most cases a 99$ IPAS is much more productive then doing the same effect with mappings or other techniques… Michael
