Ravhel,
>> I am wondering though if the Adaptec means the current SCSI adapter must
come out and if the new one might not be compatable with this funky xi P-90
computer I purchased last year.
We've had one of these Pinnacle CD ROM recorders at our office for several
months of fairly constant use, and it's worked out well. It's not what I'd call
"industrial strength", but we usually run a few CD's off each day, and as long
as you aren't dragging it around town a lot and don't need advanced
connectivity features, etc, they're not too bad. And no, you don't need a
speacial SCSI controller; if you already have one, it should just plug right
in. We did discover the driver installation instructions in the manual were
wrong, but later found the correct instructions in the readme file on the
driver disk.
