Sounds like there are tape types or tape formatting options that are
automatically compression free. Is there tape backup software (perhaps for the
PC) that comes with the drive and which might offer formatting options for the
tapes? Let us know if this is the solution. I haven't decided on a tape drive
yet.
Using this drive with the Flyer, seems we'll need regular backup software to
handle things like tape formatting.
