Chuck, Something very strange is going on. Looks like possibley a hardware failure. I had a scene that, since Friday I had rendered to a clip several times, both forward and backward. It created a clip with the top few lines showing some other picture having nothing to do with the anim as far as I could see. Today, everytime I have tried to render the scene the machine crashes with 80000004 and in many instances will not cold boot the next time I try a cold boot unless I first go in, remove the Flyer card, cold boot, power-down, replace the card, then power up. Is there some sort of flash rom on the Flyer board, perhaps associated with the SCSI that LightWave may have trashed when it failed to build a clip. Note, the first failure occured trying to save an animation to a clip and framestores to disk on the same render pass. LightWave has not been able to save to a clip since. This is the k version. wmc – via Autopilot!
