Something very strange is going on. Looks like possibley a hardware failure.
I had a scene that, since Friday I had rendered to a clip several times, both
forward and backward. It created a clip with the top few lines showing some
other picture having nothing to do with the anim as far as I could see.
Today, everytime I have tried to render the scene the machine crashes with
80000004 and in many instances will not cold boot the next time I try a cold
boot unless I first go in, remove the Flyer card, cold boot, power-down,
replace the card, then power up. Is there some sort of flash rom on the Flyer
board, perhaps associated with the SCSI that LightWave may have trashed when it
failed to build a clip.
Note, the first failure occured trying to save an animation to a clip and
framestores to disk on the same render pass. LightWave has not been able to
save to a clip since.
