Rexx
Here I am again, I can fully say after a few weeks serching the I-net for Rexx
for NT products, calling the companies, and talking to a retired IBMer (My Rexx
vs VB expert) I can fully say I support my origional position about VB
incorporated into the next PC version of Lightwave.
Basicly Rexx has some technical advantages over Basic ie no need to declare
variables, but Visual Basic shares many of Rexx advantages ( including the non
declaring of variables in many cases)
But the greatest reason for my arguement again is VB is accessable to most
windows programs, while Rexx for win is not (even the makers admitted this, My
IBM expert, who used Rexx on OS/2, VM, and some other mainframes, admits this)
I just want to enjoy the same accessability Amiga users have with LW and other
prrograms working together via Rexx, by making LW accessable via VB. Amiga
users will not lose out since ARexx is not compatabile with Rexx anyway.
So NewTek, if you want to make LW even better on the NT platform, open it to VB
