#Help please
Darrin –
I've moved your library text file called HELP-UP.TXT over to the message
section as it isn't really a long term library file. More members will probably
help you here than from a library file.
Hope you get what you need.
*Technical Support Needed*
I am a registered 3DS R3 user. Recently, I have had an opportunity to
experiment with the Video Post function. I have followed the "Galactic Ripple"
tutorial line by line, and have gone through it 3 times from scratch with the
same results:
When rendering, it goes as far as frame 0 where it goes to encode the 256-color
image and then generates the message:
"Cannot create temporary file: C:\3ds3\temp\$FLIW1$.TMP"
I have made sure that I have ample disk space and that the c:\3ds3\temp
directory exists.
I have completely erased and reloaded the 3DS software and have achieved the
same results.
I am running 3DS R3.0a on a Toshiba 4800CT laptop computer with DOS 6.21 and
16Mb of RAM.
I can render flics without video post and they render fine. In fact, I even
reset the system, created a 20 frame file with only a camera. I then went to
video post, put "stars.ixp" in the first entry, used the "KF Scene" in the
second entry and got the same results. If I take out "stars.ixp" it seems to
render without this error, making me think the problem might be with the
"stars.ixp" entry.
PLEASE- What am I doing wrong?
