Daniel, Thanks for the hints and letting me know I am not alone with the hangup problem. You said to check to see if the dithering is on when rendering flics. Could I ask where you find out if it is on and how you turn it off. I don't know the program that much and it looks quite complicated. One thing I was told about the hang up problem is to make sure the render to screen option in the config section is set to 640 X 480X 256 colors. That takes care of the problem but with me I get the pixel attack. Randy
