I know this is a minor item, usually little more than a nuisance, but just
curious whether this has been fixed:
1. When I use RENDERER/RENDER VIEW (or most any similar function) in 3D
Editor, the program seems unable to remember what drive I last rendered to and
ALWAYS defaults to the startup drive/directory. If I don't remember to change
to my "images" drive, I end up with a lot of graphics in the wrong place. Some
other functions (don't recall which off hand) recall where you last were, and
default to that, instead of the main system directory. Any suggestions?
2. Also, I upgraded to R4 when you were out of CD version with the
understanding from Autodesk that it would be "no problem" to exchange for CD at
a later time. Supposedly they would waive the $50 exchange fee. I would have
waited, but I was anxious to use KEY FACTORY which _required_ R4, so settled
for the floppy disk version as an interim fix.
The CD version has been available for months, and still no word. I contacted
Autodesk a couple months ago, they said I had to go thru my dealer, which I had
done already and been told all was fine, checking on it, etc. What is my next
step? Mainly interested in the latest version of World Creating CD etc…. I
hate to be a nag, but that seems to be what it takes sometimes with this
DEALER-AUTODESK-CLIENT-DEALER jig, I think that is what it is called. It
surely isn't a tango…. 🙂
