I have just purchased 3D Studio and they sold me a Mars 2 motion JPEG capture board. I am told that as you render your animations it compresses them and sends them to your standard vcr. You then play the animation out to your tv as your record to tape. We checked around for over 2 months and found this to be the easiest and cheapest way to go.
