Sean: Yeah, it was the "food court" at the shopping center at which we ate (w/ me dropping a grease-laden glop of chinese food on my nice off-white slacks!). Yes, the bar was history. I believe we went by the fast-food area as we were driving in, but we kind of wanted something else…. Anyway, while we decided that it _was_ probably due to the "auto-culture" that we found very little immediately adjacent to campus, it was one of those "too-late" realizations.<g> Sorry to bag on the old home-town, but maybe the chamber of commerce will be forwarded some of my email and fly me out for an all-expenses-paid holiday that will whisk me & a guest via limo to all the best that the LA basin has to offer, allowing me to return to my meager midwestern home and spin tales laced with superlative after superlative, about how wonderful LA is and that simply _everyone_ must go visit! And maybe I'll win the lottery, too.<g> Thanks for the offer of tour-guide. You may regret it if I make it back out there one of these days…. Dave
