After rereading your message, seems to me you missed my comment about the
POKES.100 file. There is a poke modification that prevents ANY printer output,
bypassing the port completely…
"If you wish to disable printer output completely, in order to prevent a
program lockup if the printer is not on and ready, the folowing two pokes will
bypass the printer port:
POKE 64228,136:POKE 64229,20
(unquote) Lots of other goodies in that file if you haven't read it lately.
