I read a very disturbing article in today's InfoWorld. It seems like CompuServe is suing a bbs sysop who posted public domain software downloaded from CIS to his bbs. CIS says they have a copyright on anything and everything in their databases. If this is true, I don't plan to upload a single thing, since I don't create software just to give CIS a copyright on it. The copyright is _mine_. Besides that, this CIS policy violates the entire idea of public domain software. Can anyone verify this? If it's true, do we want to continue to "give" our work and efforts to CIS????? If this message sounds angry, you're reading it right!!!!!!
