I think they started down hill long before Dvorak left. (I'm tempted to
start taking the SF paper (don't remember which) just to get his column.)
Did you see InfoWorlds first review of the AT&T 6300+? They criticized it
for not being an AT clone. Why was it compared to the AT? Because they
both use the 80286. That is somewhat like critizing the Apple ][ for not
being a C64 since both use the 6502. (Not quite that bad but the concept
is similar.) And they have an "unofficial" policy (ie the editors deny it
and the writers say it is true) of ONLY writing about the IBM and clones.
They want to become a great IBM mag and I think they will fail. And they
were once the single best computer mag by a very large margin.
