Mark, Either ask here, or in the Supra Forum for the command to turn on error correction for your modem, and then add that to your init string… see if that helps… also, try dialing another 14.4 node and do a small download to see if a) there is a problem with your local node and/or b) that you are actually calling a 14.4 node. hope this helps… let us know.
