George, Its been ages since I used Director but I will help you if I can. >> This command returns a -1 to the x variable if the mouse is >> still and a positive x coordinate if the mouse is moving. I assume you have set your mouse mode to MOUSE 1 (continuous mouse events & disables right mouse button). My understanding of the IFMOUSE is that the -1 value for the x parameter only indicates if the button has or has not been pressed. You would only be able to determine if there is movement by comparing the x,y values from a past sample with new x,y values. However, if your program works then I may be mistaken. Does the problem occur only with rapid clicking? Have you looked at the dragbrush demo? It does something similar to what you are doing. Perhaps you can upload a sample of the code that handles this procedure (remember to put a space before the forward slash ( / ) because CIS will read it as a command. BTW, You might get a better response in the future to post your Director questions in the Multimedia Section of AmigaArts, just a suggestion. andrew ICAM — ActiveMedia Development / IICS "InforMedia" Newsletter Editor Gliding in from Toronto on AutoPilot…
