(Pardon me for being in a verbose mode…) The other thing that impressed
me about InterFont output was the Professional Page output. I whipped up
the Aegis Draw module in a few minutes one night, after getting inspired
about it, and when Harriet sent me the PostScript output from the
Laserwriter, I was floored. You can use InterFont to make logos and custom
lettering for Pro Page – just select the font, enter the text, select Aegis
Draw as output, and push a few buttons, and you've got big, sharp, scalable
text on the screen. Unlike the screen-rep fonts, you see exactly what
you'll get when it's PostScript-ized, because the fonts are structured
objects, and are rendered at 300 dpi. With Aegis Draw, you can even rotate
the text, which is normally impossible in Pro Page. (Hmm. Maybe I should
put in a secret option to rotate the Aegis Draw object… 🙂
