Keith – That's perhaps caused the most points of contention about our program since we first introduced it! The truth of the matter is that we are correct…… but so are you!. On an international basis most text and reference materials list the correct coords with "Y" as the depth coordinate. U.S. systems though over the last few years have adopted the "Z" coordinate for depth. All of our products are designed to operate equally on either side on the "pond". The reference books we were using when originally designing Silver were absolutely 50/50 on the coords systems used. So we ended up flipping a coin. So ends the saga of why we are using the "wrong" coords system. (our initial rreference material by the way, were from The University of Minnesota, ACM/SIGGRAPH, IEE Graphics SOciety and others.)
