Nelson,
My machine is no longer under warranty. I have been poking around inside of
PCs for a number of years now. I know which end of a soldering iron gets hot.
I have witnessed the poor excuse of a technician my local dealer has banging
items with tools more appropriate to carpentry or boiler repair. I know what
the little indentation on the end of a chip means.
I'll be damned if I'm going to toss an extra $25 dollars away just because
some dealer is trying to protect me from myself. It's my board, and I'll fry
if a I want to.
