Ha! I knew you had a mountlist error. Incidentially, with SCSI drives it is not good to extend any partition to the drive's max rated cylinder. When the SCSI drive starts sparing blocks it needs someplace to put them. This reduces the total number of blocks available to the Amiga hard disk controller. So leave a few extra cylinders unused. This will greatly reduce SCSI headaches in the future. Incidentially, RAD: will mount without error but not exist anywhere if you happen to name a disk partition RAD:! You can test to see if you have some sort of hardware error with RAD: by booting from a stock 1.3 Workbench disk and manually mounting RAD:. If it exists then take heart, you've only got some sort of software configuration error. I'd then reboot with your hard disk boot floppy and see if RAD: survived. I also have mounted RAD: without a ramdrive.device in my devs directory and it strangely mounted without error, but didn't exist anywhere. I never got the 'handler missingI^@you said you received. It is permissible to modify your mountlist such that the device = ramdrive.device is changed to device = dh2:devs/ramdrive.device. If this works, then at the time you mount RAD: you do not have devs: assigned to dh2:devs. -Greg
