Rick, Yes, it can by using the ram: trick that most use. Now, before you jump on me with a loud, "HA!" remember that one file in DLdemo is 637+ K. 8) I think the use of Warp was indicated in this particular case due to the _size_ of the files involved; definitely not the number or arrangement. If arc would allow splitting files into byte-sized chunks, then it _should_ hgave been used. I've been playing with it [Warp], and it is not particularly fast nor does it do a very good job of compression. Arc-ing the resulting .wrp files does increase the compression slightly in most cases (or so I've seen with the few experiments I've done) but the gains were usually not really worth it. I still prefer Arc, but can see the use of Warp for those special occasions of either a complex and packed directory structure or huge files that take up most of a single floppy. It's worthwhile to use if you're on a floppy-based system, but a minor annoyance for HD owners. That's my say, and represents only one opinion, so try it and judge for yourself. Doug
