The way the Mac got into business was having lots of folks have them at home
first. Management wasn't sold on the Mac until enough of their people said
"there's this other machine that can do stuff the IBM's can't. Let's at least
get one or two in here."
I have no problem with CBM pushing lots of 500s out the door. Once they are
out there, a certain percentage of people will start trading up, and the
fellowship of Amiga "power users" (what an awful expression) will vastly
expand. THEN we will have a shot at the big leagues.
