Richard, In most cases a PostScript printer would require a board swap. It'll probably be up to each printer manufacturer to incorporate a newer version of a PostScript interpreter and to offer it to their customer base. We've had Linotronic RIPs since 1985, and we've gone from PostScript version 38 to 42 to 47.1 to 49.3. Sometimes the board was swapped, sometimes it required the purchase of a new RIP. ^Steve^
