Ok, I won't ask you which chip was replaced. I will ask you two other questions though <grin>. Was the chip replaced a socketed chip or was it soldered into the motherboard? (That might narrow it down anyway.) And just to confirm the symptoms, did the problems on your system seem to be temperature related? My system seems to be allergic to being cold. FIre it up cold and it gurus; wait 10 minutes, solid as a rock.
