Thanks for the advice. I did get a chance to talk to Lattice about the problem and they said it was a bug fin 5.02 that arrays could not be over 32k without increasing your stack size. They said this is fixed in 5.04. if I did allocate the memory usng malloc, how would you index the array. Does the pointer increment by integer size. How about an array of structure, how would you control the pointer here. thanks for the help. scott-
