Mike, When Music-X was still vapor ware I talked to someone about sequencers in the AmigaArts forum who said he was working on Music-X (SMPTE MIDI calculations I believe), I think it was you but am not sure. In any case, I described my needs for a sequencer that "understood" SMPTE, rather than just MIDI clocks (like Pro MIDI) and Music-X was described. At that point I asked wether sequencer events could be edited via T.C., instead of just MIDI clocks and I could swear I was told yes, they could. However, after playing with the demo version, I can't see any other way to change MIDI events other than by Bar/Beat. Let me tell you my application. I do post work for film/video. I get a cue sheet with SMPTE numbers. Door close at 00:10:42:12. At this point I try to calculate how many MIDI clocks that number is, load the door close into the sampler, play back to check-usually takes several adjustments. As you can imagine, being able to load in an effect and punch in it's time (T.C. number) would be a real plus. Can this be done in Music-X? Or, is there a way to "translate" SMPTE to Bar/Beat? (If the Time: and Clock: displays could be locked this would be easy with the FF and Rewind gadgets, but they appear to be totally independent of one another.) As you might imagine, "guesstimating" bar/beat would be the same as "guesstimating" MIDI clocks, which would make Music-X no more useful to me than Pro MIDI. Thanks again. Barry
